LPR motion question.

Hello I installed the LPR and I am in the initial set up. My motion detect setting triggers right when the car enters the picture however the car passes out of view right before the trigger resets. what settings will fix this issue. thanks again for ll the help

first attempt at license plate reader I turned motion detect and am reviewing manually and not using LPR software. second attempt picture #2 shutter at 1/2000 much better . any suggestions on where I can fine tune based on attached pic

you can try turning the Pre-trigger video buffer higher. This cam is set at 9.0 seconds. and turn down the time on the ( MAKE time)duration to .6-.7 seconds.

You can probably turn off/Deselect " Object detection" and try setting the Algorithm to " Simple"

We need to see your camera settings in the camera GUI - quick glance is not a fast enough shutter and too low of bitrate.

What are you using for motion - the camera or NVR or BI or something else? I get the impression you are trying it without a VMS?
 
Oh...my bad... is he not using Blue Iris?

Drop NR down to 30 or so.

Change illuminator to manual and make it 100.

Keep in mind that the focus for night time with B/W and IR might be different than the focus during the day. You might need to stop a car in the field of view to dial in the focus.
 
Up the bite rate to the max.

These are my day and night settings. You could use them to begin and then fine tune from there.

@samplenhold .....I see your substream iframes are set to 50. Is there a benefit to that or.....?

hello again after taking advise from several members I think I have my first official night time plate capture thanks again to all the above members who showed me the way
