LTS 4k Turret, Housing Stuck

Have a 6 month old LTS 4k turret that I need to take down from its location outside and can't get the plastic housing ring off. Any tips on doing this so I dont destroy the camera in the process. Without getting the ring off I cant access the screws. Thanks

try wrapping a leather belt around the retaining ring and see if that will aide in the removal.

Seems like I had one like that one time. I eventually got it off. Something like what @58chev recommends or maybe tapping around on the side of it with something like a screwdriver handle.
