LTS LTN8708k-P8 nvr - disable annoying beep

I have an LTS LTN8708k-P8 nvr, which appears to be just a rebranded Hikvision ds-7608NI-I2/8P.

It has an annoying beep when you have an invalid log in attempt. I have the box locked in an upstairs closet, but have the video piped down to a downstairs television. I am imagining that if someone DID break in and figure out there was an NVR, they'd try one log in and hear "BEEP" upstairs.

Yes, I can just snip the wires... but if there was a way to disable it, that would be preferable.

That is what I would have thought. I did that a couple of days ago... but it still beeps with great abandon at failed logins. I will probably just end up unplugging the speaker from the mother board.
