Today my order arrived today sans the Shelly Motion 2 sensor... And looking on their website's product pages, the SM2 is currently MIA.
Why not just use vibration on the outside somewhere? I just have a vibration sensor glued underneath. A two piece door/window sensor also works.
Thought I’d provide an update. I’ve been using the same mailbox Shelly Motion device for 42 months now (3.5 years).
Not surprisingly, the battery has degraded; it is now requiring a recharge every 7-8 weeks (see screenshot). When new in 2021 and through 2022, a full charge lasted over 6 months. In 2023, it slipped to 3-4 months. Being exposed to ambient temperature cycles is no doubt taking a toll.
