I have an issue that just came up, when the system has been working just fine.

Could this be a firmware issue?

Does my setup work or should it be setup differently? Any advise is appreciated

Forgot to mention that when I click each black box, I get the full image of the camera and when I exit the camera, it goes back to the way the main screen looks. I also have a PC running smartpss that is displaying all 24 camera to a tv monitor.

That's a sign it is to do with 'substreams'.
When viewing more than 4 cameras, the NVR loads the substream rather than main stream. Clicking on the camera loads the main stream (which is what is being recorded all the time).

From a web browser logged into the NVR:

1. Login to the camera through the NVR.

2. Look in the cameras settings and see if substream1 is enabled.

Check that the settings here match the NVR's encode settings.

*Some cameras web interface may only work with Internet Explorer.

So what do you think all my sub stream settings should be at?

I to had that same problem when I had a Lorex nvr when I tried to add a Dahua camera before I knew the right way to do it. I clicked the add button and there was a drop down list with some cameras there plus ONIVF and Private, so i clicked ONIVF and added camera it showed up in full screen mode but when i click to see all cameras i had just a black box, click the black box and it showed the camera in full screen but exit out and back to all views just a black box so i was stumped. I went back in deleted camera and looked at the 3 Lorex cameras and they where set at Private so I added Dahua camera this time I clicked Private , it found camera showed in full screen and when I went back too all views it was there also. I know you said yours was working before but maybe something changed? Just thought i would throw this out there for your thoughts.

Decoding spec for that NVR is listed as 16-channel@1080P (30 fps).

The NVR world is still new to me, but wouldn't you need to dial back the settings on all cams in order to not inundate the system?

DUDE!! It was the substream setting. I have 16cams connected to the NVR and an additional 8 cams on a separate POE switch. Apparently there was a surge and the separate switch was thrown off. I had like (3) cams revert to 10.1.1.65 for some odd reason. But anyways, the issue was that some cams were on h.264h and other on 265. I had to put all the h.265’s on H.264h. RESOLVED THE ISSUE

Muchas Gracias for the input!
