Mama deer and her fawn

Caught this on one of my 2 new Reolink doorbells, this at the side door to start, then the 2 ran into the front yard where my FlagCam picked them up. Pretty sure this is because we let our small dogs out of the fence for a backyard run and mom understandably got spooked and took her baby away from the perceived threat.

They're breeding now in the northwest, too. This one is so tame that it doesn't walk away until we get within 20 feet or so.

A couple of Bambis walked in front of a camera today. Showed it to some friends. The wife went into mothering mode, and the husband went into deer hunting mode.

All animal babies are so cute...goats, horses, sheep, donkeys, even hippos. Never seen in person but the BBC-type videos of baby zebras and giraffes are so cute.

We have a mama deer come through that has twins.
And another that has a single fawn.

The deer have had a good year here too. Mild winter and spring means good deer crop.

Man, the only animals around here are all bipeds! You guys are lucky!

All I ever get are squirrels and the occasional cat. Once a year a racoon or two.
