Hi, we will be using the Dahua SD59225U-HNI for a 24/7 YouTube Live Train Stream and was hoping we could get a recommendation on an external mic compatible with this camera which will be outside in the weather including snow/ice. Thanks!

Okay so we got the Microseven IP Cameras and it sounds horrible. We don’t know why...if it is a compatibility prob with the cam or what. We are thinking maybe we need something way less sensitive, something that does need a separate power source? Anyways, if you have a solution for us we need it. Thanks! See stream and hear this mic at its lowest possible setting:

Be sure you turned off the noise filter in the audio settings of the camera.

Use 12v 1a or 12v .75a wall adapter hum sound problem solved

Disabled noise reduction, helped a lot!
Ordered new mic per pmedicj
Will change wall adapter!
Thanks everyone!

That humming noise...and did you hear it when a train goes by? Sounds like static? I am going to change out the adapter and hope that helps. If I can get it working good before this weekend we won’t change out mics but if not we need to get it changed and hope it sounds better.

I didn't hear any hum when I listened. It was perfectly clean. Try it with out it being powered, to reduce the pick up sensitivity. The train is so loud it is over loading the mic.
Try both the input and mic settings in the cams audio setup.

Any success with mic setup?
