Just pulled the trigger on this cam in 3.6mm. Ordered one to test out at the front door. Wish it had a 6mm version.
A word about AFSA
Anti Flicker Self Adaption

Not entirely sure how it works, but there's good and bad.
it blocks / overwrite many image settings in camera...
and extends exposure time (check fast movement with AFSA)..
Argh! I wish you stated this yesterday. I bought one and it has shipped. Oh well, I am sure it will work out fine anyways. As mentioned, the more I look at it, the 5442 provided a cleaner, better image. But this one picks up light much better.
There is more sensor noise than the 5442.
If color isnt a requirement, I'd stick with the 5442
IF you can get enough external light to run the 5442 in color, I would again choose the 5442
Here's my old 5442TM-AS
Great B&W image, better image, less noise, but I lose that vivid color.. trade-off

I provisionally connected the camera for fun. The camera is behind a window pane. Absolutely no comparison to my old 3489R1 Tioc camera.
Good. I have also just connected my IPC-HFW5442H-Z4HE. I'm also really impressed by the 8-32mm zoom.Ina good or bad way?
Is there any AI in this model?
