Not getting any flagged alerts on plate captures. When I review my canceled alerts folder, there they are. First shot is the pic it used to cancel the alert even though it shows that it got a clear plate capture. :banghead:

Here's another one.

I have been having this issue as well, but could not get any assistance with finding out why.

Assuming you have everything in your AI configurations set correctly (Blue Iris Settings - ALPR for plates checked and Camera's AI - Only for confirmed vehicle alerts unchecked),

make sure you have Hardware decode set to no.

They're all the same, except I have "Default Object Detection" checked. I got these settings from @MikeLud1 in another post.

I'm getting some tags, even across the road. Not usually accurate but added in clips to manually review. Then I still get these. Wonder if it's just not enough processing power. Only one cam running on a dell 7050 with an i7-7700. Figured it should be enough for testing.

I don't think that's your problem. Mine is working fine on an i7-4790.

I would uncheck high definition.

What FPS are you running?

I noticed the my LPR camera wouldn't trigger in every instance (I knew this because the overview cam triggered and the LPR camera didn't)

So I noticed while watching it live for an extended period that for my license plate camera (which as you know is zoomed in tight to the road to read plates), I watched it not trigger for a big ole yellow school bus, but then trigger for a tiny 2-door car the next minute that was driving slower and then miss the same car coming back 5 minutes later!

For this plate camera, I was obviously running a fast shutter to capture plates, but also had the FPS at 30 FPS thinking that would be better. When I knocked it down to 10 FPS, Blue Iris motion started capturing that bus and other vehicles it was missing. I think the motion algorithm for a tight field of view was having difficulty with the faster FPS as there wasn't as much of a difference comparing frame to frame at 30FPS to 10FPS. A vehicle is in and out of my LPR field of view in under 0.5 seconds and I now get trigger alerts and capture every plate at 8FPS (yes I dropped it even further for longer retention of LPR images).

Yeah, I'm running 30fps. Thought I saw some where here to run 30 for LPR. I'll drop it down. What do you recommend for "real-time images" and "analyze each"? I have 20 at 100ms.

Many run 30FPS fine, but I know for my field of view and system, it works better at lower FPS.

You #of images and time should be ok.

All my other cams are set to 15fps per this form, but I thought I read somewhere here that 30 would allow for more frame capturing.

It certainly allows for more frame capturing but if it is missing the motion and tagging of the plate then the extra frame capturing is useless!

I have yet to have a car come by fast enough that would have benefitted from more frames.

I run 15 fps on my other cams, but found that 20 fps on my LPR helped by giving me an extra couple frames.

Well, still getting this after changing the settings to recommended. Going to be switching this Dell 7050 with a Dell G5 i5-10500 that has a GTX 1660 Super. See if that makes a difference. Then I'll be posting a bunch of questions about how to get NVidia Cuda stuff running, lol.
