Hi all,

I'm using the following kind of URLs to stream video feeds from BI into various web pages:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy/mjpg/camera_short_term/video.mjpg

It's generating a tremendous amount of bandwidth on the network. I have 9 cameras and the incoming traffic into BI is a total 20Mbps (that's for all 9 combined) as I've limited each camera to 15FPS, etc. However, every single mjpg stream out of BI is around 40Mbps or higher.

I have a managed ethernet switch so i can see the exact BW going into and coming out of the BI PC. I have also fed one output stream from BI into VLC and captured the stats in the attached picture. You can see it's 40Mbps.

I can't seem to be able to limit the data rate of the BI stream. I have set the "limit bit rate" for all three web server profiles in BI to 1Kbps but they don't have any impact on the mjpg stream.

Can anyone tell me how to limit the bitrate of the BI stream? Thanks.
