Motion Detecting/People Counting

Hi there,

I purchased 2 x HDW3866E MP-S-AUS and 1 x DHI-NVR4104HS-P-AI/ANZ on advice and was hoping to use one of the cameras for people/vehicle counting. Upon further review it looks like whilst this is what I was looking for, the camera does not support this (please correct me if I am wrong) so will need to look at a different camera.

The other issue is I am having trouble getting any sort of motion alerts happening. Ideally I am wanting to set it up to log if one of the cameras picks up motion in a particular area. I have tried IVS and SMD but cannot seem to get either to work.

If I go into the camera itself from the NVR, it appears as though it may be picking up the detection on the camera itself but not passing it through to the NVR?

Has anyone got any useful steps to look at?

There are settings on both the camera and NVR

On the camera is where you set Smart Plan and define the MD or IVS (preferred) areas and check the box to record
On the NVR under Storage, you set the recording of that channel.

Also recommend you download and install SmartPSS for viewing live/downloading/reviewing playback
 
Yeah that could be, I'm Mac illiterate sorry.

Generally speaking it works best with old fashioned IE browser or mostly good with Edge in IE mode
