Motorized Zoom Manual Adjust?

Hello,
I have a HiK DS-2CD4212FWD-IZH, this model has a motorized zoom lens.
I just recently got it functioning on my LAN via my mac with safari browser.
The issue I'm having is that there is no PTZ control when accessing it this way.
I understand that Pan and Tilt will never work but I need the Zoom control to adjust the zoom lens.
I also understand that these features are available on the iVMS 4200 for Mac software, and the IVMS 4500 app for iPhone. The trouble is I have been unsuccessful viewing the camera with either of these.

My question is can I open the camera and manually adjust the zoom and focus ? And If so, will the lens hold its position if power is cycled?

Don't even try to manually adjust a motorized zoom lens. Use the camera's web interface to control zoom and it should autofocus when needed.

Ok I won't! But the web browser interface does not have an optical zoom control (that i can find anyway)

I found the PTZ controls and can now zoom that lens!
On a browser its the little red button in the center of the extreme edge of the right frame.
