Hi all

I bought a Hikvision turret (DS-2CD2342WD) but have some issues now mounting it to the wall.

As with most Hikvision cameras, the cables it come with are a bit of a problem.
I'm fixing to rendered brick wall. Normally I would just use masonry screws like Tapcon, but there isnt enough room to stuff the cables behind the turret enclosure. It seems like the insides are not waterproof so not using the provided RJ45 sleeve isn't an option.

Don't really like the idea of chopping off the cable to shorten it, or a junction box - it seems way too clunky for the front of my house (the one for this model is massive) unless there are other ideas?

Pic of where it will be mounted:

Are there other cameras that are small enough to fit the cables inside? The camera is for the front of my house...

Thanks

Use coax seal instead of the bulky plastic sleeve...

Location
Hampshire - South central Uk, right at the bottom
the options are
DS-1280ZJ-M
DS-1273ZJ-130-TRL

or make your own and paint it white
stitch drill the hole and make it bigger

RJ45 connections are what happen with POE cameras
The amount of extra cable you have there can easily be trimmed back to a minimal amount and just add a new RJ
