Mounting Suggestions for IPC-T5442T-ZE

Hi Guys,

Looking to mount this model to the vinyl siding of my house.

Is the best move PFA-140 to a vinyl cutout box like this?

Struggling a bit with how to mount this flush on the vinyl and without adding so much bulk/projection (box+mount+cam).

I'm sure you guys deal with this all day long. Appreciate your input!

Comes down to personal preference.

Many have been able to hang cameras with siding hooks.

Many use that cutout box with or without a junction box

Many just mount it right on the siding with or without a junction box.

Thanks for the quick reply! May be a good idea to hold off on that junction box and see if I can just hang it using the cutout. The camera is only 1.5 lbs and my wiring is already run outside, so wouldn't be taking full advantage of the JB anyway!

I am having vinyl siding installed over my existing T1-11 wood siding next month. Now my cameras are mounted directly onto the exterior wood walls, how do I mount them onto the vinyl siding?? do I mount them directly to the siding, or is there some kind of bracket I install onto the siding...
