I have a BI license that has expired. I want to buy the 1 year maintenance that's $30. In addition to that, I want to migrate to another system. What's the best process to do this? Can I just transfer the license to another computer as long as I deactivate the other? Can I apply the newly purchase maintenance license to the new computer and be all set for the year as long as I shut down the other device?

Deactivate on current machine. Then use the existing license code to activate on new machine.
When you buy a maintenance renewal, you are delivered a key code that you can enter within Blue Iris. Doing this extends the support period of the currently-activated BI license. So you can do this either before or after you move the license, and either way the final result is the same.
