Can I run Multiple Switches or Hubs in line ?

yes.. stop calling them hubs.. they are switches now, if you find a hub.. recycle it.

So daisy chaining Switches one after another
causes no issue and they don't have a ip address
like a router ?

as long as you dont create a loop you just build it out like a tree with your router at the trunk.

Hubs are for axles now, not computers. Everybody has switched to switches.

Does what apply? NVRs and PCs are not switches (although NVRs often have switches built in).

I'm asking in the context of the original thread: using switches (no, not "hubs") in series. I think I read somewhere that external switches won't work with many NVRs. Is that true? Strikes me as odd, if so.

You didn't read that on here. One of the suggested ways of connecting things is to connect a cluster of cameras to a switch, and then connect that switch to the NVR. While NVRs may have a PoE switch built in, you're not generally required to use it. It's possible some NVRs may be locked down by the manufacturer, or reseller. But generally any Ethernet device should be able to be connected in series with switches. Switches are nearly stupid conduits.
