This happened to me last night. Looks like I’m upgrading my crappy cameras finally. I have lots of starlights in stock too. Also won’t be leaving a $600 Dewalt hammer drill in my car anymore.

For sure . I’m putting up a active deterrent cam from Andy in that spot. And upgrading a couple others to ZE’s. Also turning on my motion push notifications to my phone now too.

Well I did a little upgrade today. installed a T5241H-AS-PV. this should give me a better picture at night, plus the siren and light set on a schedule.

Clean install - looks good!

Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry for your loss. Damn cockroaches!
Looks like they used one of those glass safety tools used to break your way out of a car in case of an emergency. I keep one in the center armrest console. Also has a seatbelt cutter.
Any way for you to easily cover your tools? I have a feeling if they didn't see that tool box they would have passed over your vehicle.
Same goes if you're out and about and stop for lunch or to pick up supplies. Home Depot parking lot would be a gold mine for a smash and grab.
Or maybe have your windows tinted so they can't easily see in. Just a thought. Good luck!

Sorry to hear what happened to you. Nice install, but I would install two of them, one on both sides of the garage door. That way, you can see both cars.

Yes I was planning on putting 2 cameras on garage. But for now, I don’t leave dewalt tools in my car over night anymore. Apparently these guys got caught. Still under investigation. In the meantime Ive been testing out my new camera.

This, it takes dual crossing cameras to adequately cover a driveway with vehicles.
