I am in the process of upgrading my two 10 yr old analog camera systems and looking for some advise on what to use
I've spend a few hrs educating myself on the new standards and specs but have yet to choose a camera
I bought a Hikvision cube (indoor) and have been playing with it (seems like its working out ok)
I was wondering if a kind person with experience could possibly review my requirements below and advise.
IP cameras
1. Outdoor (north east weather, snow, ice)
2. >2 Megapixel
3. WDR
4. 1/3 lens
5. 2.8mm lens Or wider
6. Varifocal (not critical)
7. IR
8. POE
9. 2 way audio
10. SD card (not critical but would help in case of NVR failure)
11. I Prefer Hikvision
13. Budget is about $200.00 per camera
Poe switch ---would have to have at least 8 powered outputs that match the camera requirements and doesn't need to be a "managed switch" (budget)
NVR ---- 16 channel with audio on all channels
I also need a camera to use as a doorbell that will ring my cellphone for a two way conversation does anyone have recommendations?
I realize this is a big list of questions but i would appreciate any insight
