I have been trying to get this tripwire to trigger in Blue Iris. What do I have configured wrong?

First question is do you have an SD card in the camera and can confirm it actually trips?

Looks like you need to work on that image and add more contrast and the trip wire - you need to think 3d and the person needs to have half their body go thru it, so unless they are falling to the ground, it will probably have some difficulty. Consider a vertical one or zig-zag, or intrusion box.

You need to also check the box in BI for use Camera's digital input or motion alarm.

I am still messing with this IVS. I do have triggered events showing as alerts in Blue Iris now. Just trying to understand the tripwire and what I am doing wrong.

Santa tripped wire going from right to left. But did not trip it going left to right (see pic)
The young lady did not trip the wire going from right to left. But did trip wire going left to right ( see pic)

IVS, and intrusion boxes, can be problematic at times. Usually it's a problem caused by contrast or not enough time (distance travel) of the object for the camera to see and identify it well enough to understand it should detect it. In your case, try an intrusion box, but again remember the camera needs some time to "see" the object to detect it before it enters the intrusion box. That requirement can be a real headache in tight views.
