i have bought the Hikvision DS-2CD3135F-IWS from lightinthebox and it says i should not upgrade the firmware on the box.

I am not worried about the firmware cuz the camera works grat and the picture is stunning, but it says it supports POE but it wont work unless i have a 12volt ac connected to it.
I have a POE adapter but i still cant get a picture using only the ethernet cabel.

Is there something in the settings of the camera i need to set up to get POE to work?

The whole reason i bought it was so i only needed POE to power it but it looks like i need to run to wires up to my roof now unless someone in here has a soulution to it :)

Sorry for bad grammar and english

I also have Hikvision DS-2CD3135F-IWS and it works very well with POE feed. POE adapter must have 48v not 13v. Success

I see that your POE adapter has autput 12v, the POE adapter must have a 48V autput, so change the POE adapter.

aha, no wonder i cant get it to work then :) guess thats what you get when you dont know what to shop for and trying to save some bucks.
will order a 48V POE adapter from a norwegian site now :)

Just to be certain that i get the right one, will this one be good TP-LINK TL-POE150S PoE Injector?
it says it has 48V

That should be fine. The key is "802.3af" which is the name of the PoE standard.

Try CAT5 or CAT6 cables with cu no al.

Translation:

CAT5 = Cat5e
CAT6 = Cat6
cu = copper
no = no
al = aluminum

When referring to aluminum he means copper-clad aluminum, which has more resistance than pure copper and is also more brittle. It is used in some cheap network cables and should be avoided.
