Neighbors drug lab finally catches fire and blows up.

With most fire departments, if there is no exposure they have to protect, like a propane tank or another house right next to it, letting the fire burn up the toxic material is the easiest and fastest was to get rid of toxic substances. When I was a fire fighter, we would get calls on the interstate for MVA involving tanker trucks. If there wasn't anything around that could catch on fire other than the vehicle itself, and the tanker contained, say gasoline or diesel, we would just stand back and let it burn itself out. Same thing with meth labs. Let er burn.
