New Blue Iris User

Hi all,

I am teaching myself how to install IP cams using Blue Iris and so far this forum has been a great help to me so I am signing to say thanks to everyone ( I can now do the thanks clicky thing ) and see how things progress.

Currently running 14 hikvision cameras, 2 network POE switches and a rather beefy i7-6700, 16gb with raid and 2x2tb drives which I want to take home but my boss is having none of it. Slowly expanding in waves and look to add another 10 cams and 2tb drive very shortly.

Also using the android software... handy for positioning the cameras correctly before screwing them down!

Where did you buy your license from? I see it's cheaper buying via Amazon or Ebay than directly from the dev.

Thank you for the warm welcome guys, I am using DS-2CD2142FWD. The quality is out of this world!


We purchased our license direct from the BI site. Didn't really think to shop around... Oh well...
