i just purchased a hik vision bullet cam to use as a weather cam on my mac,it will be streaming live on my website.
I downloaded the software and plugged the Ethernet into a Poe adapter and the router.
Now when I start the software and online devices it shows up I have activated it but I can’t add it as it says connection timed out failed.i read that I needed to change the ip to that of my network I did manage to change it but not correct now I can’t modify it back.
It’s stumped me a bit my router can’t see it and I don’t know what to do next.

Down load hikvision batch configuration tool or sadap
They will find the camera online
enter your password for the camera
Hit the modify network button enter your new ip and and untick dhcp
Click modify and you should have a message saying network parameters set
And a new ip to meet your network as the default is 192.168.1.64 for a hikvision camera

I’m not sure if batch configuration will work with a Mac (there should be one)
If you have opened the iVMS look under device management
You should see the camera on the bottom and see what info it is giving you
Assuming your computer and camera are on the same network IP address

Delete what’s in the top box first
Then you will see the camera in the bottom under online devices

Then once you see the camera in the bottom click on it and the click on modify NetInfo change the camera IP address
Port will be 8000
IP address is what you want to change
Subnet mask 225.225.225.0
Gateway is what your router is using normally it’s the first IP address
Like 192.168.1.1
Then password is what you set in the camer then hit ok

Ok your network is on 0.1
That picture where is shows the camera on 192.168.1.64
Can you modify the ip to match your network
So select the camera and modify net info
Select an ip for the camera that doesn’t conflict with any other addresses
You have on your network
Go to a high number say 192.168.0.220
