Hello,

after updating the firmware to R6 5.4.4 i saw additional function for the line crossing detection.
Now it´s possible to define a min and max field.

Could somone explain me this min / max field?

regards basti

min and max size of objects it tracks; if they are larger or smaller when they cross the line it will not trigger.

usually you want both setup for human sized targets.

you need both.
Define the MIN size of an object. Anything smaller than that target box (leaves, bugs, small dog) won't cause an allarm.
Define MAX size. Anything larger than the target box will be ignored. (when headlights light the entire scene, or when you want to trigger on people but not trucks)

I want to see who crosses the line to visit my house or leave my house.
I uploaded a picture with min and max object - is this correct?

That may work.
Experimentation is needed to confirm.
At least with Dahua, where I have experience, the lines (for line cross) will be visible in Live View when using the web based user interface built into the NVR. The lines will change color when the object crosses.

In the image below, clipped from "Playback", the object (green box) crosses the "trip wire" line, the line changes from blue to red.
The object also went through the "intrusion zone", and the blue box changes to red.
The size of the green box is between the min size and max size.

Tests and adjustments were needed to "fine tune" the setup. In my case, I had to avoid having plants that sway in the breeze make a false alarm. I had to place the "trip wire" carefully....

I am trying to set this up with a hikvison camera. Does anyone have any experience setting this up with Hikvision?
This is what I am dealing with but I can't confirm it is working or not. There doesn't seem to be any visual hints.

Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing in the setup page.
