I am trying to be ahead of package and car burglars... A lot of our neighbors have had packages stolen/cars rifled through. I have no experience with camera systems other than seeing friends post blurry/dark photos hoping someone recognizes the thief stealing their stuff.
I do have an IT background and can cable, terminate, troubleshoot and read the cliff notes/wikis. I can set up a network with a bit of help.
Below are pictures of the area I want to cover. My small drive/walkway and front porch. I do not worry about the back door. I am likely going to use Blue Iris with some push notifications and remote viewing. IP POE Cameras.
There is a streetlight to the "right" of my house if you are looking at it. I generally don't keep the outdoor lights on, but am wiling do so if that helps.
The FJ Cruiser is usually the car in the driveway. Motorcycles, bicycles and the Prius take up the rest of the garage
