New hik-connect issue

hello, I have been using the hik-online.com dns service and now currently you cannot add new devices what do I have to do now to add more cameras? I want to remotely view and do not have static ip. Thanks guys!

So what are people using I was told they migrated to hik connect

Hik-online still works, you just can not add devices on your admin account. But you can still configure it on your device and using it normally.

(not sure now if that will change anytime soon...)

How do you configure on device?

Just go to DDNS section, activate HiDDNS, configura the name you want it to have, save, and make sure that the name is not already in use.

ok so for ddns type do you use ip server? or what do you use im sorry im new at this

IP Server? What device do you have? Very old firmwares had "IP Server", later it was renamed for a while to "HkDDNS", and later to "HiDDNS".
What other options do you have besides "IP Server"?

Pull down the DDNS Type selection box, and you should have there something like "HiDDNS", that is the one you have to choose.

On newer firmwares you will be asked region/country, on older firmwares you will need to configure the server you want to use (like, eudev.hik-online.com for Europe). You just need to put the domain name you want to use, save, and if you do not get a message that the domain name is in use you are all set.

ok, so i set up my cam like what you guys said, and it says on my phone "the device is not registered in the ddns"
