New Set-up Issue

I've just installed a new NVR and one camera at my parents place. It's a DS-7604NI-I1/4P NVR with a DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL camera.

The issue is the live vision and play back are not smooth. It freezes and then jumps forward. Sub stream is smooth. I've installed the latest firmware. Tried x264. Tried 1080p.

Any other ideas? I have a 5 year old system and it plays 4 streams at 4K perfectly smooth all at the same time.

Check the bit rate, make sure it’s set to 8192. Set the FPS to 15 fps. Make sure the firmwares are up to date also.
