Hey everyone, I'm new to the surveillence game and I'm hoping to get some help and learn a lot so I can help in the future! I just purchased Blue Iris and it looks great. I also bought a GW-5072IP for my driveway because my area has issies with vandalism (smashed car windows). I have the video feed but I can't for the life of me get PTZ to work in BI nor through the bundled software.

Any tips? Thanks in advance!

That camera is not a PTZ...you don't need a PTZ... there are much better options than GW
..

Yeah I went ahead and returned it already. I'm getting an Amcrest IP67 instead. I dont really need pan and tilt anyway and can always replace it

Best overall cam at this time: Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z) Beats the pants off anything else after dark.
Thanks for the reply, I'm going to end up ordering another couple cameras in the future, one for the front stoop and one for my backyard. I'll definitely check this one out when that time comes. Forgive me if I sound lazy I haven't really browsed through the forum yet because I haven't had time so if there is a good thread I'm sure I'll find out, but is there a decent PTZ for under $250? I'd really like to have that feature in the future just for shits and giggles.
