Hello, All!
I just purchased a few IP cameras (Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I's) to create a home security system. I was going to tie it in with my home automation system (a Vera Lite running UI7), but now I see much more value in the inherent capabilities of the cameras themselves, recording to my NAS. Primarily, I'm looking for information on PoE cameras (such as affordable PTZ models), and configuration issues/solutions. Out-of-the-box, I was having problems with my Hikvisions recording to my NAS (a WD MyCloud 4TB), but I downgraded the firmwares to v5.1.2 and hacked the davinci file to get this to work. For now, I'll probably be a leecher more than a contributor, but eventually I may learn enough to help the next generation of n3wb's.
