Newbie needing help with hikvision nvr

hello all. Hoping to get some help from much more experienced ppl on this forum. I had an older hikvision nvr and decided to upgrade to ds-7616ni-I2/16p.

Once I replaced the nvr and connected everything I got the initial “hikvision” boot up screen then nothing. I’m using a relatively new computer monitor with a hdmi connection. It must be working since I have been using it with the other system. Also it showed me the the boot up screen with “hikvision”.

I managed to format my HDD remotely and can view most of my cameras remotely (except two won’t let me in...separate issue). I still can’t figure out the local viewing. I’ve viewed a cpl complaints on this forum for the same issue but it doesn’t seem to be solved.

Any help is appreciated pls....
 
Yes the monitor does support 60hz.. I’ve also tried a two tv’s with no luck.

I have tried to mess around with the hdmi settings for the last three days. Just unsure of what to change When I get to the settings. My last nvr was simple to plug in a hdmi and work the remote viewing took forever for me to set up. Now vice versa.
