Night settings for HDW5231R-ZE

I just moved in to our new home and I'm slowly getting the 5231s up and running. I know I've read it somewhere in the forum before but a search isn't turning up what some good night settings are. The house is located where there is no ambient light at night so it's really, really dark. Each 5231 will have a separate IR illuminator to help with light.

Would appreciate some help with initial settings to get me on the right track! Thanks

Obviously every location is different but sharing a couple of my settings in case that helps. I don't use any IR illuminators currently.

5231 Eyeball, illuminated in an area with 1 x 100w bulb

Exposure
Mode = Manual
Shutter = 1 (1/1000) to 8.33 (1/120)
Gain = 0 to 50
Iris - Auto
NR = 20

Backlight Off


5231-Z12 used in LPR application in an area with NO light at all except the occasional flash of IR from my PTZ on its tour.

Exposure
Mode = Manual
Shutter = 1/2000 (or 0.5 to 0.5)
Gain = 10 to 50
Iris = 40
NR = 30

Backlight = HLC 65 (you generally wouldn’t need this unless using the Z12 variant and in an LPR use case)
