No Email Notification

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else has received this.
Since yesterday, I have not received any email notifications regarding triggers.
Nothing has been changed in my settings for months and all was good.
Any advice would be great.

Quick look it looks like your email provider quit allowing "non-human" initiated emails as a way to combat spam.

GMAIL did that a year or two ago and folks had to set up 2-factor and create an app password for BI in order to be able to send out emails.

I am not sure what to do.
Do you know is there a possible solution BI could create to get it working again?

It has nothing to do with BI. It is all with your email provider.

You could do a google search and find out how to set up an app password equivalent for your email provider or switch to GMAIL where BI has made it easy with a "button" for OAUTH that will set it up automatically.
 
were you able to get it to work?
just enabled mfa but still fails as its not asking for mfa when doing a test connection from within Blue Irirs

I have used one of my Talktalk accounts to send emails rather then Outlook. After reading the various ways around this online and Microsofts page, I got confused and gave up.

Did you try the Gmail method as suggested by @wittaj in post #4?
 
My email notifications have also stopped. Am using a gmail account with OAUTH setup, when I do a test it works but with BI even though I can see in the logs that an alert was triggered and an email was sent I get nothing.

Not too sure how to debug this as it was all working but then stopped a few weeks ago.

Email or Text messages?

Can you go into your email sent folder and confirm that it was sent? Have you checked spam folder to see if for some reason it is going to spam?

Email, checked everywhere, nothing in sent or the spam folder. BI thinks it’s sent the email according to the logs but I get nothing.

Oh that is an issue. I would consider redoing the OAUTH and get a new passcode.

I tried that already a few times and still no go.

I think the problem is with the gmail account and am wondering if for some reason the account has designated the title of the emails that I would get from my 2 cams as spam as on one day when it did work I did get something like 40 emails all within seconds of each other but I’ve checked the account and can’t see where of if that is even a thing?

I wonder if your gmail is full then and can't send out anything?

I’ll check that but I set the email up just for BI alert emails.

Tested both from within the main BI email settings and from within a cam and both emails came through yet my daughter and son leaving this morning and no emails even though the BI log shows that it sent something?
 
Well BI could show in the log that it sent it, but then Gmail wouldn't process it if the 15GB of storage is full.

I checked storage which shows 0Gb of 15Gb being used. As I said I created a new email account just for alerts.

Strange but I got some email alerts this evening so it might have started working. No changes made so pretty strange.

The same here. I set up Gmail to send alerts via my Hotmail account as per video. Hotmail did not receive anything but in Gmail sent, they are there! So dont understand why they are not sent!
There is more then enough space on Gmail so its definitely nothing to do with quota of allowed space.
