Hi,
I have had to change computers and reloaded BI 4.
I used the saved Reg file but, now there is no Motion recording.

I have triggered the cameras and I get the email but, no video in the clips folder on the right of the console.
I can see the snapshots in the clips folder if I click the red "trigger" icon in the clips folder.

Any ideas?

Steve
Thanks

Hi All,

Thanks.

I have created a new folder for storage of the clips on the desktop as they would not go to the "db" default folder!
Why I don't know.

If I clicked on an image the image would appear without any errors!!

And I un ticked "begin with a traffic light".
Now if I trigger the cameras I have a video in the clips folder and I now see a video!!

Now to save the settings!!

Thanks

Steve

FYI, the default folder for video clips recorded as a result of motion, etc. is the "New" folder. The "db" (database) folder is reserved for BI to write "dat" files.

Read BI's built-in "help", topic = "working with clips".

Thanks Tony R and I will.

Now the only problem I have is getting the Foscam C1 to work!!
I can see it on my mobile through WiFi and its showing in my router.
But not in BI 4.
Again it worked perfectly till I had to swap machine!!

Thanks

S

If the cam's IP is static then it should not have changed when the PC was changed; insure that's the IP that BI is expecting for that cam under "properties", "Video", "configure"; also that you have selected that cam make/model on that same page's dropdown.

Hi,

Thank you for your ideas.

As a recap, I am trying to install
I have tried everything suggested and still no luck.
All I get on Blue Iris 4 is a blank no signal screen.
I have change the static IP to something else on their software
Changed it in the router as also.
Changed the port and did this in the router and their software.
Still nothing.
Foscam support team are lets say, limited!!

I have deleted all settings and factory reset the camera and software so I could do a fresh set up.
Still no good.

Is there anyone who can suggest anything else?

Thank You All.

Steve
