I just received my new camera. I am trying to set it up, but his is proving difficult.

When I try to add the camera with the Hik-Connect app; the camera is not connecting to my wifi. To date, this is the only device that has ever failed in connecting to my wifi. Because of this I connected the camera with a netwerk cable to my LAN; now it is getting an ip-address and the camera shows up in the hik connect app. I can view the image; I can use the PTZ-controls, but I cannot setup anything.

I wanted to open the web interface; so I entered the local address in my browser and all I get is:
"Access Error: 404 -- Not Found
Can't locate document: /"

What is going on here?

Philips link will explain how to add them to iVMS you can not navigate
To there web address
Once you get these going there quite an awesome little camera
Which you can connect to your nvr channel wired,
Or set up wirelessly with an sd card.
My children have them instead of baby cams for the grand kids
And they’re connected up to iVMS on the iPad with video encryption
And there not Poe

Thanks for the replies. I think I bought the wrong device for my purpose...

What is your purpose? I probably can't help much but if you let us know someone else may be able to confirm or deny whether you need to purchase something else?

I am looking for a small PTZ camera which I can add as a standalone camera via wifi to my network. There should be a webinterface reachable via iphone, ipad, desktop computer without installing software. Video should be saved to my synology NAS via NFS.

No web interface = no go...

Yes there’s no direct web page but once set up through iVMS
You can then set the wifi up and then set it to record to you nas
As it still has a ip that can be changed just like any other hikvision camera
And all the same stuff there standard cameras have
I am unsure why Hikvision did this with this series, for security I’m not sure
