You manually set the focus when you set it up. The camera then acts like a fixed lens. It won’t move by itself.

Basically don't buy a camera that the MP and sensor isn't in green.
So don't buy a 4K camera on a 1/3" or 1/2.8" sensor. Only buy a 4K on a 1/1.2" sensor.
Don't buy a 4MP camera on a 1/3" or 1/2.8" sensor. Only buy 4MP on a 1/1.8" sensor.
If a camera marketing and specs don't list the sensor size, then you know it isn't an ideal MP/sensor ratio and would be in red.
