NTP on cameras connected to NVR POE ports

I have a Hikvision NVR with several Hikvision cameras connected to it. I want them to keep their time up to date from an online NTP server. However, the cameras can't connect to the internet to keep their time up to date. I'm using time.windows.com, but I've also tried other NTP servers. I'm using port 123 with an interval of 1440 minutes. Any ideas what I can try?

Hi! As far as i know, the cameras take the time info from the NVR, and NVR takes the time info from the NTP.
So, there are some reasons:
1) The NVR can't connect to the time server;
2) The NVR can't connect to the internet.
3) something else.

You can check the access to the time.windows.com, using this server for time syncing in the settings menu of your PC connected to the same network with the NVR. If not, this mean that your network can't access to this time server, try to change it to other. Also you should check the internet connection to the NVR. Also your network's privacy settings can block access to this port (maybe port is closed etc.).

I have almost the same settings in my NVR, except time (my is 80) and it works well.

windows ntp server is unreliable. use pool.ntp.org instead.

But the setting in my hikvision nvr is time.google.com port 123

Also I've seen on some versions, you must uncheck the NTP in platform access otherwise, the cameras ended up using that server instead

Just make sure the NVR time settings are working correctly.
NVR PoE-connected cameras are by default not able to connect out to an internet-located time source.
The NVR does all that's needed.

Just change the time zone, appropriately, on the one that is off. The important thing is the displayed time, not the time zone.

I have a few that do this exact thing. I adjusted the offset, time zone, and it holds year around. YMMV but I doubt it.

So, I changed the time zone, and the time was correct. I came back an hour later and the time zone is where it set it, but the time is back to being one hour fast...
