Do you have to have seperate settings for day and night? Is that even possible? Or do you just set up for night but those settings work fine during the day too?
Night is the hard one to figure out, which was why I gave the headstart LOL.
Daytime is easy - either set the shutter to 1/2000 or 1/4000 and then drop the gain a lot lower and turn off HLC.
The camera has a general profile, night profile, and a day profile. So you set up a night and day profile and then either use the schedule profile in the camera or use the sunrise/sunset utility someone created and posted in this forum (preferred way).
Or run 24/7 B/W.
The day/night profile in the camera doesn't work like we think.

I don't think IR cuts through walls of tire smoke 
My HFW5241E-Z12E camera arrived today. Wow Andy, that was quick! Now time to connect it and play with the settings. I'll probably install it next weekend.
