Nvidia Quadro P600 vs AMD RX 6400 GPU Video Cards?

I run BI on a virtual machine (older E5 Ivy Bridge CPU) and I use hardware-passthrough to pass the GPU to the VM so I can get HDMI output to my monitors.
I'll probably never have more than 10-15 cameras (personal residence).

I've already got these two cards on-hand. I'll sell whichever one I don't use.
But which do you recommend? I'm a BI newbie.

I'm not doing any AI yet but I'm interested in it for my outdoor cameras.
I'm not very concerned with power consumption.

The AMD is much more powerful but does not have any encoding capabilities. Not sure if that is an issue?
It is able to decode H. 265 (HEVC).

The Quadro is much slower but it supports NVENC across the board.

Hi @OrangeToast

Code matters .. have to know how well the applications run with the cards ..

I don't know what you mean by code? I'm not a programmer. BI is the only application here?

basically, the metrics you showed do not take into account the application / and add-ons to that application ( blue iris for example ) .. the question is, does Blue Iris code use Nvidia or AMD better .. and then does that AMD GPU work better than that Nvidia GPU ..

in other words, it gets more complex than the benchmark posted ...
