thank you. How big of a hard drive should I get for 2 cameras? I'm thinking about a 4 or 6 TB, WD purple surveillance drive?Consider a surveillance-rated HDD such as a WD Purple or a Seagate SkyHawk; standard (non-surveillance rated) will work but their performance will be degraded and their lifetime possibly shortened. In a nutshell, surveillance- rated drives are designed for extreme "write" duty whereas standard drives perform mostly "read" duty.

Also check against the size limit for the NVR. I think it will be 6TB for the machine you are looking at, but it is worth double checking.thank you. How big of a hard drive should I get for 2 cameras? I'm thinking about a 4 or 6 TB, WD purple surveillance drive?
