Hi,

Purchased the ds-7608ni-k1/4p which replaces my old Hik NVr.

My old NVR had a fan fitted inside, however the ds-7608ni-k1/4p doesn't have any. Can I fit the old one out of my previous NVR? If so, how, the connection on the new NVR board is missing

Any ideas?

If the new NVR didn't come with one that's a sign it probably doesn't need one.
Having a silent NVR is probably better anyway. Less noise and dust build up.

I was thinking the same, but the HD will still get hot as its recording 24/7
Just to keep things on the safe side, i'm gonna use the fan out of the old NVR and get a combo of SATA splitters to dual power the HD and Fan. -Anyone foresee any problems with doing this?

Thanks
