NVR Hanging during boot up

Hi Corey

First of all it looks like my ip address changes every day so this method won't work if I go on holiday and the IP address changes... any ideas on how to solve this?

Also, tried this on my mobile and i can login to the NVR but i cannot see anything as it says "No plugin detected".... Can you actually get a plugin for the mobile?

You will absolutely Need Dynamic DNS...that way you connect to a hostname, much like you do a website, and it will always keep current with whatever your IP address at home is. That way you don't have to keep track of it. Dyn.com is by far the most popular. I use them and it's been incredibly helpful. It's $20/mo for a static IP here, not sure what the rate is over there but generally static IPs aren't disposable.

Mobile, whether iOS or android, you must use the iVMS app as I outlined in a previous post above.

Also, apparently Huawei devices are notorious for not supporting NAT loopback. Can't speak for your specific one but the general consensus is no loopback support. This means you cannot remote into your cameras locally from your WAN IP/hostname. It's not a huge deal but it just means you need 2 different bookmarks/sites saved. (1 local, 1 remote)

Thanks to everyone for all the support to date. I am leaving for China tomorrow so will be offline for some time.

I have switched on motion detection for all the cameras so now I have a red record icon and a yellow bell icon on each display.

I also took your advice and connected up the 4th camera but I noticed that it has a yellow/orangle triangle on it with an exclamation mark in it. What does this mean?

Thanks again guys for all your support ! :-)
