NVR not showing motion vs alarm motion

Hi Guys,

Hope all well with you all.

I have a Dahu DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/ running system verison V4.001.0000001.1, Build Date: 20-08-2021.

I'm trying to setup my cameras so I can see the difference between motion ( ie yellow colour ) vs alarm ( ie red colour ) in my recordings.

I've uploaded some screenshots of my setup but, I have setup the schedule accordingly as well as targeted areas on what parts are motion vs alarm for recording purposes.

Could someone please assist me ? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

As far as i know; Region colors do not have anything to do with the colors of the Schedule of your recording.
The reason you get so much 'yellow playback' is that the region settings are set way to sensitive.


So if you want to set an alarm and want it to show on your filter you should add something like this with an NVR ; DahuaWiki


But best way to start is:
-to reset your region settings to default
-Set video detection on enable (for motion detection)
-Enable tripwire (search for some instructions). (Tripwire is much more reliable than motion detection)
-Now you can filter motion (yellow) and filter for tripwire (blue)

(Personally i do not use playback on the browser. I use the DMSS app or the SmartPSS for the computer to watch playback material.)
