NVR / PC for inherited IP cam setup

Hi everyone!

Please excuse me as I am new to this, I run a restaurant. I have some newer wireless cameras set up, but I would like to utilize the old surveillance system as well. The old system probably had NVR at some point but it is long gone. So I am left with 16 reolink RLC-420 IP cameras and big PoE switch. Everything is routed and installed professionally. So I am thinking of ether getting NVR or make a pc for this and utilizing the existing cameras, it would be redundant system for cameras I already have so I think old cameras will be fine, but I guess I could upgrade some of the cameras in more important locations (register/entrances/etc).

Is BI recommended software for something like this?

For reolink, your best bet is to use a reolink NVR.

Reolink and BI have problems due to the industry standards not being followed with reolink

I have installed Reolink -810B8-A and feel like i need to make a comment here on the system. For the price of the system, the picture is extremely good even at night. Yes you will not be able the license plate at 75 feet or even 50 feet but i am fine with that. For 8 cameras plus NVR i paid...
