Nvr through vpn

I've had to change internet providers and am now using 4g which doesn't give me a public ip.
I've heard people use a VPN to access their cameras remotely, has anyone done this who can provide some insight?
I already have a privateinternetaccess account.

private internet access is worthless and not the type of vpn you need.
Even with the vpn suggested in that thread you will need a public facing ip address unless you have access to a pc with one.
Look at Hamachi which will provide vpn function and solve the ip address issue.
