NVR4104-4KS2 versus NVR4104HS-4KS2

Hi guys,

These two NVR's seem identical apart from the housing; the -HS version is black and *slightly* bigger and they moved 1 USB2.0 port from the back to the front.
Looking at the specs and the recent Q1 catalog from Andy (Dahua IP Catalog 201902 Q1) I can't find any other differences between the two. Can you guys?

PS; this also counts for the 8 and 16 channel versions. I'm not including the versions with build-in POE ports.

Technically, I have both in 16 and 8 channel respectively. However the HS is still awaiting a replacement mainboard after failure in December. The non-HS was purchased as a stop-gap. I haven't really noticed much difference in the setup... I can't believe that they are a different board but I'll have to wait until I can confirm.

I'm not sure which one I'll sell when the HS is back up and running. If it ever is...

Thanks guy's, so it wasn't just me. :rolleyes:
I guess it's a matter of personal preference.
Andy did mention the -HS version was the newer version.
 
In the end; I ordered the NVR4116HS-4KS2 from Andy and it should arrive tomorrow.:cool:
Now I only need the get the Purple drive, I think the 2TB version is the sweet spot for price/capacity.
(1TB is €52, 2TB is €67, 3TB is €91, 4TB is €113)

2TB should give me about 42 days of 24/7 recording with 1 5231 camera which is already 50% more than my current 128GB SD-card can hold only recording motion.

If anyone has questions about this particular NVR; I'm happy to help.
