NVR with WD PURPLE 6 TB

Do I want a minimum of 15 days of storage, with the best possible quality? Any improvement to the values that I have configured?

How do the cameras look at 4096 bitrate? CBR or VBR? Most run the 4MP at at least 8192 and the PTZ typically higher as well. Each individual field of view will determine the bitrate.

Storage needed is based on whether recording continuous or on motion and is calculated based on FPS, resolution, and bitrate.

You can use this calculator to estimate how much storage you can get.

Record 24 hours, regardless of movement. I need a minimum of 15 days, with the sub stream.

You should be able to get 15-20 days or so, possibly more depending on further refinements that someone with that NVR might be able to add.

You mean with the configuration of the initial post that I propose? I use the dmss app a lot (always), so I need sub stream quality (especially when reviewing recordings). With 4096 it looks very acceptable for what it is, video surveillance.

I know that you can improve the image quality but I would record for very few days, and I don't like the option to only record with motion.

4096 is the mainstream bitrate I suspect? Look in the camera GUI at what the resolution and bitrate is for substream - I suspect a lot less.

Yes, default for mainstream, the substream should be a lot less or why use the substream...

For example, here is my main and substream from the 49225 PTZ similar to yours - is your substream really showing 2MP and 4096 bitrate?

Substream no, I increased the bitrate because in the recordings with the app I verified that it uses substream (although it is customized in mainstream). As 99% use the app for practice on the mobile phone, it is essential that the quality is acceptable in the reproduction of the recordings.

I have noticed that it supports 2 hdd, just add another hdd to the nvr and the system handles it automatically?

I have another 4tb purple wd, total would have 10tb
