I have just tried updating the firmware on my NVR5216-16P-4KS2 NVR which had a very old version of firmware & I jumped onto the Dahua website and got the latest firmware V4.001 200319 Now the recorder only boots to the NVR 4.0 loading screen then restarts. Is there any way of recovering this NVR and maybe trying one of the 3.216 firmwares? Maybe I jumped too many versions?

That firmware not suit your nvr, nvr BRICKED, ask your supplier to do support if still under warranty.

Nope this one is out of warranty. Has anyone had any luck using TFTPSERVER_EN.exe to re-flash firmware ?

Hi ... just hopped onboard the forum and noticed there are a lot of similar issues with the v4 firmware upgrade.
I've got a NVR5216-8P-4KS2 and have got the same problem. I thought I was being ever so careful with the correct version but now I'm realising it was a very bad decision.
Is there a solution that anyone has come forward with in regards to flashing the unit back to factory default?

Thanks in advance ... will I require any hardware or specific cable adapters?

Also a newbie question for the forum ... do I just check in every day or is there a way to get an email notification when someone responds to a post?

Or should I send an email to your email address?
