Getting the hang of it
I just purchased the Dahua NVR5216-16p-4ks2e as well as IPC-HDW5231R-ZE turret cam. For some reason I can't get the tripwire IVS to function. I am setting it up on the NVR itself. Here are the steps I took:
1: Went into Event>IVS and added a new tripwire rule for Cam1
2: Drew my line across the path
3: went into trigger menu and set it up to sound buzzer as well as send email ( I did previously setup email and verified it to be working)
4: Applied the rule and exited
However I never get any email, buzzer, or even any indicator on the live view that it's been triggered. No IVS tripwire event even shows up in the log.
I'm sure I'm missing something here. Any ideas?
edit: Ok I realized I had to have "smart plan" on for IVS. But what I cannot figure out now is this "Target Filter" box. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. what is the concept behind that?
