Old Apps gDMSS/iDMSS and SmartPSS 2.0 will STOP support P2P from August 1

Hi,
I received information from people in Dahua Poland, that starting August 1 Dahua cloud will stop supporting P2P connections from all old apps, which are not upgraded.
We are talking about: gDMSS/iDMSS apps and old SmartPSS 2.0 apps from 2019/2020..

The official recommendation is to move on DMSS and SmartPSS Lite... New 2023/2024 versions of SmartPSS should also work..

This limitation does not apply direct IP connections (over IP or DDNS) from old apps..

The official reason is to discontinue support for the old version of the P2P protocol, which contained poor password/key encoding.

Dahua blocked P2P access for old apps (old version of SmartPSS and gDMSS/iDMSS) from today..
A month later than it was announced.

P2P devices shows in old versions of SmartPSS as 'N/A'..
there are first reports in Polish Dahua group, there are a lot old version SmartPSS heavy users here...
 
The problem of newer dmss version is that not all cameras are 100% supported. no matter if p2p(which i dont use but i tried it) or direct ip


i installed some cams like 1831-pir and you can only view live stream on dmss, no playback from sdcard.

they even released a new firmware for the 1831 series last month, not sure why. i updated one camera but still not working.

but its still not playback from sdcard. only on old versions of dmss it works.

fix for now is use "easyviewer" which is the old dmss version.
 
P2P still working form me on SmartPSS in the US on 2020 version....
 
I can say Ive seen a clear slowdown in throughput on the Dahua P2P servers in the past 3-4 weeks
 
There were a lots of problems with P2P and mobile notifications in last 2 months..

there were many reports that people lost app notification pairings - and only uninstalling/installing one more time DMSS with re-logging to Dahua cloud helped..

they do something with servers.. but we don't known what exactly..

Seems that from today my gDMSS plus notifications have stopped. Last one was 00.20 at night. Tried to reorder notifications but no help. Live video from NVR is working though.

Time to start to use DMSS then.

Did u get push notifications working again? If so what app and did u need to enable p2p?
I just got my nvr, trying to figure this out.

Yes, I got push notifications working again with DMSS. P2P needs to be enabled in NVR if you don't want to open ports in your router.
