Old BNC analog to new Cameras in 2024

Looks like a F to RCA to BNC.....and I have my own reasons for calling them "F" connectors, too.:headbang::lmao:

Yes looks like you can eliminate the RCA . So is there enough coax slack to get it directly to the junction box? Less adapters the better

Thanks for the help and the picture
thats what i am hoping. think without the RCA adapter i may be able to get this all in the PFA130 box.

Still gonna be tight unless i can push alot of the RCA cable and adapter in the wall.

so is this the actual pig tail of the old analog camera? If so could you not bring the new camera pigtail to here also? If not you can still keep everything there and just run a female to male Ethernet patch cord up to camera box

this is just 1 camera in the garage that has this big ass box.

all of the other cams (7) are mounted on Cement, and hopefully wires just in soffets above.

we will see.

It does all fit in if you hold your tongue the right way. I crimped a BNC directly on the coax cable though. It does look like it might be same length as what you will have with the adapter into F connector. It measures 1-3/8” in length

that is tight. you think i should go with the little larger PFA122 just to be on the safe side? would this square box look weird with a round turret?

It's ok I guess. Maybe it won't be as obvious if it up under soffit.

Here are some pics of an installation I did few years back with square boxes.

i dont think that looks bad at all, and will be a bit more room in the junction box.

Those lorex cameras have the beauty ring, which might help the looks a bit? You could always order 1 of each box and see how it goes before ordering the rest.

u dont happen to have a picture of what this square box and dahua turret would look like do you?
